I will miss him as well! I would never be brave enough to go near the dangerous animals----glad someone was there to do it and show the rest of the world! May God Bless his family and friends! (09/07/2006)
Our family loved watching him and will miss seeing him and his little family on TV. I liked that he was a nature lover and watched out for the environment. The thing with the baby was a simple mistake on his part and I don't feel any harm was done and that he learned from the incident. I could tell he loved his wife and family. His life was dedicated to wildlife and I heard him say that was why he was here. He was one of a kind and we will miss him. (09/07/2006)
Steve, you are missed. You were a refreshing breath of fresh air in a world of stuffy television talking heads. God bless Terri, your Dad, Bindi and Bob. They are in our prayers. (09/07/2006)
We all miss Steve. Our prayers are with his wife and children.

My family is saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Steve Irwin. He will be missed. Our prayers are with all of his family and loved ones. It is times like this, that cause us to think about how any one of us could leave our home and not return. Each day is a gift to be lived with purpose. Steve Irwin was doing something he loved. His love of nature was a gift we all delighted in seeing. Again, our sympathy to all who had the opportunity to be a part of his life. (09/07/2006)

You are sadly missed. Our whole family cried when we heard the news. Our prayers and thoughts go out to the family and friends of Steve.
We loved you and feel no one can ever take your place. Rest in peace in heaven! (09/07/2006)
My 15 year old son entered my room last evening somber and upset. He had been thinking about Steve and all he could say to me was " It really stinks mom, you know, it really stinks that Steve died...he was awesome, just really cool...!"
As a single mom, Steve was the male figure in our home as my son and I religiously viewed his show together. I still cannot think of a more wonderful example of gentle strength and compassion for my son to admire and learn from...and that he has.
Our warmest, heartfelt compassion is being sent from us to all in Steve's family, his friends and associates as well. I know all were profoundly moved by the life of this man and deeply pained by his death. We will never forget you. (09/07/2006)
i am an aussie, he has touched someone's life at one time or another, he can never be replaced as he was truly a one and only who was the saviour of wildlife, he will be missed by everyone. (09/07/2006)
Godspeed, Steve. (09/07/2006)
Yes I was also saddened. The wildlife all over the world has lost a friend. He really did bring gators and crocs and even lizards and snakes to a more agreeable edge. Not that I like slithery animals but he really showed that God had a purpose for every animal on the face of the earth. God bless Terri and the children. (09/07/2006)
Sadly missed (09/07/2006)
Could not believe the news when I saw it on Discovery channel. Very, very sad. Condolencies (09/07/2006)
God gave Steve the courage to "subdue" the animals of the earth until it was Steve's time to leave us.
Steve took every opportunity to become familiar with
God's Creation, to fulfill Steve's destiny and perhaps His Purpose? We will all know one day, (and it looks like it will be sooner than later). May God use this tragedy to draw humans closer to each other and to Himself, the Creator of Heaven and Earth and all that is within it. The Holy Scriptures say that one day there will be a new Heaven and a new Earth, that there will be NO wildness or fear in the animals or humans, and that no harm will come, even to the smallest of humans, from any previously dangerous creature. This is His promise to all who believe that He is who He says He is, has done what He says He's done, and will do all He says He will do, who then also invite Him into their heart as their own Lord(a "Lord" is one who has the power of life and death over another.) I pray God's blessings over this family in their grief and in their coming joy...in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. AMEN and amen. (09/07/2006)
It has been a very sad week here in Australia. We have lost 3 public heroes. Firstly Steve, then author Colin Theile and today a famous racing car driver Peter Brock. Very sad time indeed. Deepest sympathy to Terri, Bindi and Bob.
Steve Irwin uplifted my soul when I gazed into his pure eyes filled with love, kindness and compassion. I held him in high esteem just as he did with all of God's creatures great and small. His passionate message of conservation and habitat will be remembered. I am not surprised by the honor he is receiving worldwide and the personal pain we all seem to be experiencing. He touched us all in his own very intimate and special way with his Great Spirit. I am confident that Terri will do a wonderful job raising their children as he chose his soul mate with tremendous pride and joy and let the world know how much he respected and appreciated her. The children received the very best that he could give them within his 44 years and will carry on his legacy along with many children of the world who were lucky enough to receive his message. Thank you Steve for accomplishing your mission here on earth, forever changing the world we live in and having impacted my life and others so profoundly. Your Mom, your beloved Dog and Croc are blessed to have you now. We Love You Now and Forever! (09/08/2006)

As another person posted, my son (16 years old) came to me late one evening when he heard that Steve had died. He was very sad as well, and said that to him Steve was an icon of his age, and that he just couldn't believe he had died. Steve's death is truly a loss for all. (09/08/2006)
I was also saddened by the loss of Steve.I admired him for his courage and love for animals no matter how "scary" they were. I do believe he died doing something he truly loved and the animal world is a much better place because of him and his family. He should be an inspiration to us all to have respect for all of natures creatures. My heart truly goes out to all his family and friends. I will miss you Steve. (09/08/2006)
So sorry to hear about Steve .God bless his family . He will be missed by all! (09/08/2006)
We were also saddened here in Calif. to hear of the loss of the Crocodile Hunter. Our deepest condolences to all his family and friends. The whole world will miss him too! (09/08/2006)
Steve was only a year younger than me and has accomplished so much. Showman he was, but he believed every blinkin' word he said, and that's what his charm was - his passion and his honesty. My heart aches for those he loved and who loved him. Peace and healing be with you all. (09/08/2006)

When i live in Eugene, OR and Terri Irwin lived there and Steve got hurt a while back. He was in Sacred Heart Medical Center, my step mom was his nurse taking care of him and he hurt his arms from something, that was the closest i will ever get to being near Steve now that he is gone. I will miss him forever, being from Eugene and the Irwins from Eugene make me like I will always be family to the Irwins forever and always my prayers are with you forever. (09/08/2006)
Dearest Terry and family.Just want to extend our deepest heartfelt sympathy to all of you. We are all just devastated by his loss. I myself haven't stopped crying since we heard the terrible news. He was obviously a super guy, and a wonderful family man!
Just thinking about those beautiful kids, having to grow up without their daddy is devastating! But hopefully, knowing that the whole world is grieving along with you, might give you a bit of strength to fall back on.
We will never forget him and thank you very much for sharing your lives with us!
God bless you, (09/09/2006)
My heart is broken and it will never heal again..... (09/09/2006)
I've been a very active animal rights advocate for 33 years and I adored Steve. I loved his delightful, infectious enthusiasm, his joie de vivre, his deep and sincere love for all animals and the way every creature, no matter how "creepy" to ignorant people was "gorgeous" to him.
There was a time when other animal rights people were taking pot-shots at him. I cannot imagine that any of them had ever watched his show.
I read all the previous posts on this Steve Irwin memorial page and was struck by the eloquence of some. I have an ache inside when I think about Steve, and it's good to know that so many recognize his worth and his importance.
I want to say, Steve Irwin, you're the best. We will miss you! (09/09/2006)

Terry,Bindi and Bob, I will miss Steve! I am 7 years old and watched all his shows I wish he didn't die!

Even though he lived way across land
Really did enjoy that crocodile man
A man so loving and kind
With a little daughter so fine
Loved her dad with all her heart
They made a lovely whole part
Being one in the same
Playing crocodile games
That kind man with his signature shirt
His precious little daughter didn't like girly skirts
Wanted so to be just like her dad
Now the whole world is sad
Wishing this man had
Lived on and on
Now the entire world will wait and see
What of this little girl will be indeed
Like her father will be she
Bringing happiness to all
Carrying on his legacy
We will miss you so with all our hearts and souls
A celebrity you were to many families
So real you were to all you did please
Being who you were in such a real way
Even though you have so tragically gone away
We all know so true indeed you
Are above with such love
Nearer to God's divine love
Why oh why some deeply cry
Did a defensive not offensive stingray strike such a blow
So many all over the world are so very sad you did go
Away to be so far away for eternity to stay
Yet I say within these rhymes through Jesus so divine
You are with our Heavenly Father to be so happy
So family of this gracious crocodile man I say your way this day
Give God all your love and praise for in time
Yes little daughter pay heed to me
You will see your dad again in the sweet by and by
There with Jesus you and he again will together abide
To the family of this loving gracious man from this poet way across land. The whole world feels your pain not exactly in the same way, yet we loved this man too for he was so very real and true. God Bless you all this day and may he quickly take your so deep felt pains away realizing this loved one is in the hands of our Heavenly Father to be so very happy. Love to you all.

We'll miss you, Steve. I guess God needed a special angel to oversee all those critters in the Rainbow bridge land. You couldn't get a better mission in heaven, Steve. Enjoy your reward. (09/10/2006)
It's been a week and I still cry. I could only watch Animal Planet 5 minutes at a time this weekend. The world has lost a wonderful person.

I have set-up a small website for your tributes in England. the website address is below.
They say We Can Judge The Heart Of a Man By His Treatment Of Animals. It's so true. I've also created an online memorial of Steve Irwin. Please light a candle in memory of Steve at the memorial link below;
I'm Silvana, from Argentina; my 10-year-old daughter, Erica and I are huge fans of the Irwins... and we are really sorry for Steve's loss... my sincere condolences to Terri and the kids, and all the family of the Australia Zoo... Erica's first drawings were of crocodiles chasing after Steve and his lawn mower...
We´ll never forget Steve and his great passion... and we know he died doing what he loved the most...

Terri, Bindi and Bob,
I know that I am just one voice in millions, but I want to extend my deepest sympathy to you all. When I heard of Steve's passing I sat down on the couch in our living room in front of the television with such a heavy heart I just can't put words to what I felt. You, I and the world had just lost a man who truly gave everything to make people like me understand what impact our actions have on the future. My deepest condolences to your family. To the family of Steve Erwin , at this time of their loss.Be encouraged, as this was his time to leave this world. The way he went, was all God"s plan., not to be cruel but that was the way for him to go. We know not what a day will hold for us, we may go into eternity in a way never expected. The part you all played in his life here on earth , was His plan. Now , take heart & go on, as he would want you to.You are all being prayed for. Your Friend in T.V.Land (09/18/2006)

Steve Irwin was an awesome conservationist, who had a sincere desire to protect all animals throughout the world, espeically his crocs.
Steve Irwin will be sadly missed by all individuals, especially the children who were learning alot from his programs on Animal Planet, Discovery, his movie in 2002.
May his family and staff at Austrialia Zoo know that many prayers are sent in their behalf.
May his children be able to continue his life's work as they get older. Again, so sorry for your loss at this time. Steve Irwin will be sadly missed. (09/19/2006)

I miss him! and know that as a family, it will be the most heartbreaking time of your lives. Live and Let Live...and believe. Love, Michelle Avery (09/20/2006)

To the Entire Irwin Family,
My family is deeply saddened by Steve's passing. Just watching him you felt like he was someone that you knew. He pulled you in when you watched him and made you feel like you were right there no matter where he was.
Funny, charismatic, full of energy and life...just an all around unbelievable spirit.
Terri be proud of the wonderful marriage you two shared, because from that love was created two beautiful children and a message of Animal Conservation & devotion.
Nothing can repare your heart and what it feels right now, but give yourself time. Keep his love close inside to help you always. Bindi is already demonstrating a beautiful soul that is the combination of you & Steve, and we all look forward to watching Bob grow up. Live strong.
