I keep a little braided piece of yarn on my scissors. It helps me find the scissors more easily. When I am sewing quilts or blankets, I attach a brightly colored clip to the braided string. My scissors never get lost now when I am sewing a big project!

I crochet afghans for charity and was getting frustrated looking for my scissors to snip yarn. I had a bunch of lanyards and it dawned on me to attach scissors to one to wear around my neck. Works perfectly, the lanyard is long enough I don't have to take off to use and they are always there when I need them, no more searching.
