It may be too late now, but you can put laptop and computer on lay-a-way at Wal -mart starting in October through December, and also K-mart has layaway year round, and Sears did have lay-a-way at one time but you can chech into it.
You can alos rent a lap top or computer and they don't do credit check you just need a job.
Pawn shop sell lap top and computer also, I just brough a lap top 3 months ago from the palm shop for $150.00 with windows 8, but they only gurantee it for 30 days.
You can ask family member, lovers, friends, church member, and co-worker to help you out also with the purchase you will never know until you try. Apply for one on craigslist or free.net some people just want to get rid of stuff. Good luck and God bless!
