Halloween Ghost Brownies
This is a simple Halloween project you and your kids can do together. They make a super treat for home or a class at school. Simply make brownies, following the directions on the package.

Dog Friendly Oatmeal "Raisin" Cookies
Knowing that raisins can kill dogs, I created a more dog friendly oatmeal cookie. All you have to do is, substitute blueberries instead of raisins in oatmeal cookies. Use your favorite oatmeal cookie recipe without the raisin option.

Make Cookies on an Electric Griddle
I'm recycling this tip, but thought it was so good I had to submit it! Take your store bought or homemade (yummy) cookie dough and "bake" it on a electric griddle. Especially good when you don't want to heat up the kitchen on a hot day or just want a few cookies.

Valentine's Day Cookie Decorating Kit
While my friend was recovering from hip surgery she was unable to bake and decorate Valentine's Day cookies with her granddaughter. Both of them were pretty disappointed. So I made up a batch of my sugar cookies, cut them into Valentine's shapes and baked them.

Use Cookie Cutters as Decorating Stencils
If you are as bad as I am at decorating cookies, try using a cookie cutter as a "stencil". Choose a glass/cup/mug that is wider across than your holiday shaped cookie cutter. Use the glass to cut your dough into circular cookies.

Add a Slice of Bread to Fresh Baked Cookies
While living in Denver, I discover that fresh baked cookies (even in a zip-locked bag) dried out quickly. By adding a slice of bread, the cookies stayed moist. Just change the bread when the slice dries out.

The Perfect Cookie
I've had many friends and relatives ask me how I make my cookies so soft, when theirs all turn out rock hard. Laughing to myself, I explain to them how easy it is! All you need to do is cut (decrease) the recommended time for baking by 2-3 minutes AND set the cookie sheet(s) on cooling racks.

Cookie Swap Party
I LOVE cookies so when I saw a book by Gooseberry Patch on Cookie Swaps I was in HEAVEN! There are MANY ways you can do your party. I set the date and just asked all my guest to bring a BIG batch of there favorite cookies (try to see what kind they are making so you don't end up with all one kind).

Do You Preheat a Baking Stone?
Do you need to heat the baking stone before baking cookies on it, or just use it like you would a normal pan?
