Here's a nice beverage for holiday meals and easy to make. All you do is add two ounces of plain sparkling water for each 8 ounces of cranberry juice. Serve in wine or champagne glasses over crushed ice for a pretty presentation.
Instead of reusing coffee grounds as some people do, I reuse the leftover coffee itself. It seems that nobody wants to drink the last cup or two in the pot in our house so, instead of throwing it down the sink, I blend it with the fresh pot.
Give yourself a no-calorie treat by adding a drop of quality real vanilla to your coffee. A sprinkle of cinnamon powder or pumpkin pie spice can also be added for those wanting a spicier fare.
I make a half gallon bottle of sun tea using black tea and another using green tea, 2 bags in each. I'm using solar power and the tea is never bitter. Now I always have iced tea on hand and anytime I want a cup of warm tea, I use the microwave to heat it.
You can come up with some delicious cocktails that you make all on your own, and do so at a much cheaper price than what you would expect to spend at happy hour.
With juices (orange, apple, etc.), I add cold water to the juice in my cup. The taste isn't as strong and it makes the juice last longer. Add a little water at a time to the taste you like.
I love strawberry lemonade so I use frozen strawberries as the "ice cubes" when I make it. It gets it cold faster and adds the strawberry flavor to it!
