Be sure to check your local Walmart right after Halloween for leftover pumpkins. Many people will not buy them after Halloween and you can get them for nearly free.
I was fixing some Beef Hamburger Helper the other night and found that I was having extra people for dinner. When the beef was browning, I took a handful of spaghetti, broke it in half and boiled it until done; drained it and set aside.
When my family and I make a salad we put in into a plastic bag (we use the ones that we put our veggies or fruit in at the grocery store). Put on dressing and shake up the bag this get all the dressing every piece and you use up less dressing.
Getting rid of fruit flies. First get a plastic grocery bag. Put the rotting fruit in the bottom of the bag. Set it on the counter fully open at the top with the sides pulled up. This is so the flies will go down to the bottom of the bag.
To take the hot turkey from the pan, use a new pair of rubber gloves. For the amount of time you will be holding the turkey, the heat does not go through and you have a tight hold on the turkey so you won't drop it or it won't fall apart before it gets to the cutting board.
I love cooking and cook all the time, often with either onions (red preferred, but using any often) or garlic. My complaint (and question in one) is how do I keep from shedding tears when cutting onions (and sometimes really strong garlic)?
When I use breadcrumbs or flour for coating chicken or other foods, I sometimes have some of the coating mixture leftover. I mark a plastic bag or a bag from cereal with what recipe was used and save the excessive breadcrumbs or flour and freeze it.
