Milk and an empty glass jar.You can make frothed milk for cappuccinos and lattes without any special fancy equipment. All you need is a clean jar with a lid and some low fat or nonfat milk. They froth better with this method.

Pour desired amount of milk in a jar. Make sure theres enough room for the milk to expand. Screw the lid on and shake for 30 to 60 seconds. Remove the lid and microwave the uncovered jar of foamy milk into your microwave for 30 seconds. The foam will rise to the top and the heat will stabilize the foam. Pour the milk in your coffee and spoon the foam on top.
