Garden: Rock Landscaping
We live in the high desert and did rock landscaping, put in some astro turf and 2 ponds with a river in between. (at a cost of $15,000 but we love it now!) Strangers driving by stop and tell us how great it looks!

Transplanted Garden and Pond
We had a garden beside the kids playground that had to be moved because the wild blackberries were killing the plants. My 10 year old son came up with this plan. We worked hard for 5 days digging the pond and transplanting the garden.

Plants for a Water Garden
Does anyone know of any plants which will grow in water other than water lilies. I made a small rock garden with a tiny pump for running water. I am wondering if there are any plants I can stick in among the rocks which don't need to be planted in soil.

Garden: Rockery
We moved into our bungalow about 3 years ago and found an enormous garden, (never had a garden before). We set about slow and tentatively, bit by bit, my husband being a joiner and me trying to be a gardener.

Green Slime on Surface of Pond
We have a green (almost a fluorescent green color) algae-like material covering the whole surface of our pond. If you put your hand in it to scoop it up it looks almost like a bunch of tiny seeds and slime that sticks to your hand. Each year it gets worse and this year there are actually plants growing about 6-10 inches high on it. It hardly resembles a pond any more. Does anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it?
