fall colored recycled gift wrap paper card I recently was offered a gift wrap sample book. The sample book was from the 1996/1997 collection and the idea was that the sample book was to serve as an inspiration for art projects. It certainly inspired me, and in more than one way. For this project, I turned small pieces of the gift wrap into a greeting card, but most importantly, I realized that sample books can be a great money saver for crafters.

Supplies:

5.6 x 8.2 in pumpkin yellow cardstock
page from any old A5 size book
4 rectangles, each 2.6" x 2", cut from matching gift wrap featuring pumpkin yellow as a color
10 small 3D self-adhesive foam squares
small yellow skeleton leaf
5 small feathers
small 1" long gold craft bow
Pilot gold marker extra fine point pen
box of matches
pencil
ruler
standard scissors
quick-drying craft glue (such as Bostik Clear)

Steps:

Score the pumpkin yellow cardstock to create a card sized 5.6" x 4.1".
With the fold at the left, position and glue the gift wrap rectangles nicely together in order to design a patchwork on the card.
