Craft: Diaper Wreath
This is a diaper wreath I made for my first grand child (she is due in 12 days.) It is made using size 2 diapers since the diaper cake was made of size 1. This way they won't have to tear them both down at the same time.

Gift Baskets for Baby Showers
I have been using these two tips for many years and have received only compliments! For a very unique baby shower gift, buy a potty (just the pot), and then with the help of your Pharmacy and Dollar stores, fill it up with useful items the baby will need; this makes a very economical gift if you use dollar stores.

Cross Stitch Poem for a Baby Shower Gift
It's been more than a few years since I've attended a baby shower and I recall a poem that was crossed stitched for one of my friends 20+ years ago. I can't remember it and I am hoping that someone maybe able to help me. It was about allowing the "dust and cobwebs can wait" (I think...), babies don't wait and grow up too quickly but "housework can wait".

Giving Gift Cards
When giving a gift certificate to a loved one living away from you, make sure the recipient will be able to use it in their area. Don't assume that the place of business is in their area, just because there is one or several of these businesses in your area.

Revamping Old Photo Frames for Baby Shower Gifts
Revamp old photo frames for new uses. Even baby shower gifts! I revamped a garage sale find. I used what was suppose to be an old wedding bells procelain picture frame into a baby shower frame. I embellished it with flatback buttons in the baby theme. Then used glitter glue to embellish and make is sparkle. Just used a few items that I had around the house and now I have some really cute picture frames for gifts.

Baby Diaper Cake for Shower
This is a photo of a Diaper Cake my niece recieved at her baby shower. It was made from pampers and stacked two layers high. Tiny ribbon weaved through it held it together and small "necessities" were tucked around the layers. On the top was a stuffed Duck and baby blocks. Tied around each layer was a beautiful "Suzi's Zoo ribbon tied into bows. It was so pretty we used it as a centerpiece for her gift table.

Crafting Advice For a New Baby Gift
Base your gift to the new baby on the month of the baby's birth. Crochet/knit/quilt/purchase a baby blanket in the color of the baby's birthstone, and include a package of seeds/bulbs for the birth month flower (a chart for both can be found on Hallmark's website).

Eco-Friendly Baby Shower Gift?
I would like to get my friend's little one off to a healthy, non-toxic, earth-friendly start, and I need to spend less than $30. I could just get a small gift basket from one of the on-line shops I've seen, but with those, you end up paying $7.50 each for smallish bottles of lotion, shampoo, etc. Is this a good deal? Papillon

Baby Shower Gifts, Something for Mom Too
I usually make up a basket for the baby with the usual baby bath lotion and such but here is where it really gets good, I also always make up a basket for the new mom. I include bubble bath and a scrubber, new soap a pretty scrunchie for her hair and some good lotion and perfume. This is always a big hit as the new mother is excited about being able to pamper herself after the big day. By Debra in Colorado
