 I bought the basket from a garage sale this summer and added a ribbon. The only items that I had to buy was the teapot, and the tea bags. Total cost for making the basket was about $20.00 or less.

Where could I find a site with different ideas about meaningful basket or goody bags? My daughter got one from her teacher one year that gum sticks that meant something, a peppermint something else. Each little thing she put in the bag had some kind of meaning.

Giving Baskets with Handmade Items. I save money on gifts by giving baskets with handmade items. Example: Cookie making basket, including, cookie mix, sprinkles, cutters, couple of hot pads, wooden spoon. Put all items in a mixing bowl (or just a decorated box if money is really tight). Wrap in cellophane and add a bow.

I sell candles, votives and body products and would like to make up some baskets for Mother's Day, birthdays, etc. Can someone give me ideas, as to what to put in a basket? Do you only use baskets and where do you get them? Do you wrap them in cellophane?

You can make nice gifts from bargains if you put your own stamp on them - I just found a bunch of Aveeno samples (which I know appeal to my friend), and put them into a nice travel kit which I got on sale at a beauty supply store for 2 for $2 -(I took out the accompanying store literature). . .
