Signed Bookplates for Special Gifts

A lot of authors will send you signed bookplates when you send them a self addressed stamped envelope (use 2 stamps). Also include the name for the inscription. I gave several of these personalized bookplates as Christmas gifts one year.

Books as Gifts - Evan the Bookworm

Books can be a wonderful, inexpensive gift or activity for a child. This is my two year old son Evan, looking at one of his favorites. It cost me all of a dollar at our local dollar store, and I can't tell you how many times he's "read" it! We've definitely gotten our dollar's worth out of it! Evan also got quite a few books for his birthday last week, which was great--he has plenty of toys, and being a teacher, I'm happy to have friends and relatives encourage his love of books too!

Hilarious Hints For Grandmas

One of my favorites is GRANDMA KNOWS BEST BUT NO ONE EVER LISTENS! The author is Mary McBride. Lots of advice for Grandmas with a lot of Humor. It would make a great gift for a New Grandma-to-be or Grandma's gift for Mother's Day. Another favorite is actually a childs book entitled I'LL LOVE YOU FOREVER abou Mom. This was given to me on Mother's Day by my Daughter. Can't recall the Author's name .I've seen it at Walmart. MamawKC
