We have a glass top on our wood table. We were supplied plastic spacers. When we removed the glass for cleaning we found the plastic spacers had left shiny marks on the table. How can we restore the table?

Leave the glass off the wood for a month. The marks should disappear.
Use felt spacers in the future.
I tried leaving the glass off for seven weeks. It did not work. Any other suggestions.
