Grape Salad

This is one of the easiest, tastiest salads I ever made. I volunteered to help with a wedding, and this is one I mixed up:

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 2 lbs. seedless grapes, washed and dried
  • 1 cup English walnuts, chopped

Mix together cream cheese, sour cream and sugar and beat well. Then stir in remaining ingredients.

I fixed this for a diabetic, and just substituted the sugar for fructose.

Fructose raises triglycerides. Your diabetic friend probably has elevated tiglycerides, so you didn't do a favor. (01/19/2006)

Grape Salad

Maybe Splenda sweetener could be substituted for the sugar? It comes in granular form now, and is supposed to measure cup for cup as a sugar substitute. (11/16/2006)
