Reusing Paper Towels
If you don't have a salad spinner and use paper towels to dry lettuce, reuse the paper towels! Just drape them over a drying rack. They dry very quickly. Then fold them up and store with your kitchen linens until the next salad.

Uses for Last Years School Papers
After every year, I have a stack of papers from school. It seems such a waste to throw it away, and I don't keep them for future reference. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do with them?

Paper Bag for Small Recycling
I don't use plastic bags anymore, so everything I buy comes in paper bags. I use one paper bag for odds and ends of paper, such as labels from tin cans, receipts that I don't need to keep.

Donate Shredded Paper To Animal Shelters
We have a local pet shelter here that likes the community to donate shredded paper for the animals. They have may uses for the shredded papers. I have a large paper shredder which I use to get rid of junk mail and anything else I don't want to go into the trash whole.

Reusing Printer Paper
I decided a bit ago to recycle the paper that comes from our printer, we always for some reason get an extra one or two when we print something. I used to tear them up for scratch paper, but I started turning them over and put them back into the printer to use again.

Recycle Junk Mail Immediately
Take all junk mail directly to the recycle bin. Saves you time and mess. Also put any catalogs or magazines which you no longer want in the recycle bin as well.

What can I do with old magazines?
What can you do with magazines besides crafts? I don't do arts and crafts. Can they be donated to any organizations? Shame to throw them away. Some I don't even get a chance to read.

Gift Bags and Extra Gifts
I keep gift bags from all of the holiday parties, etc. and reuse them. I also keep gifts that I don't really like and recycle them, other people like things that I don't!

Using Mail in Cards from Magazines
The first thing I do upon receiving my AARP magazine is tear out those pesky mail-in reply cards that make the magazine difficult to handle, but before pitching them, I check for blanks. Since I do not regularly stock postcards, these are a handy substitute for business-related needs.
