Hall Lights and Door Bell Not Working?

I've recently changed the light, connected to an extractor fan, in the downstairs toilet from a spot light to a standard ceiling rose fitting. The light in the toilet and extractor work fine, but the two hall lights now do not work and the front door bell has stopped working. Are these connected in any way? Bulbs are fine as checked/changed, fuses haven't tripped, but I have reset in case, no joy. All other lights downstairs work fine. Anyone have any suggestions please?

We can't possibly diagnose this problem without looking at your circuitry. If this seems to be beyond your skills to solve, then you should call in an electrician. When things don't work properly, either you have made an error, or, perhaps some other home handyperson in the past has done some renovating when they didn't know what they were doing.
