Patchwork Back Porch
My small back porch is somewhat of a relaxing/storage space that leads to my patio and also to my basement. I want it to look welcoming. On the left is a seat cover my G-Ma made me back in the 70's to fit a vanity seat.

Hang Decorative Flags In Your Window
If you have trouble with winds whipping your decorative porch flags or you don't have a place for a pole holder, try hanging them inside a window. Just place the flag on a tension curtain rod and position it between the glass and the mini blinds at the top of the window frame.

Dyeing an Outdoor Umbrella
My patio umbrella has faded. I have tried cleaning it. Is there a paint or dye you can use to refresh it?

Dressing Up a Chain Link Dog Pen
I have a 6x6 chain link dog pen. Any ideas on a way to dress it up so it looks nicer. I don't want to screen it entirely, I want the pup to see out when she's in it.

Decorating My Carport
I need inexpensive ideas for decorating my carport. We have a nice table and chairs and grill out there so we can cook and eat outside with friends, but the only space available is our carport (which we don't park in).

Three Layer Garden
Try to arrange plants and decor in odd numbers. In a corner of your yard, using wood, rock or brick, make a three layer diagonal garden. Ensure that the back has a strong layer of backing.

Late 1800's English Decor
I am interested in ideas for creating an English, late 1800's interior decorating theme around fox hunts and English equestrian decor. My entire home is currently in transition to this style. Anyone know of where used, discarded horse rider apparrel is looking for a new home?

Silk Flowers for Spring
With Spring coming, plant silk flowers instead of real flowers. They last longer and are far more inexpensive and less time consuming to take care of...

Transforming Your Front Porch
A plain front porch can be transformed into a place of serenity and beauty with just a few simple touches. I found an old ladder in a junk pile and leaned it into the corner by my front door. I hung a plastic bag of flowers on it and placed cheap flowers all around the porch to accent the ladder. Everyone that comes comments on the ladder! Sometimes I wrap silk ivy or fall-colored leaves around it. The possibilities are endless.
