I have textured/bumpy walls. Will I be able to hang semi-heavy weight fabric (gabardine) on my walls with liquid starch like wallpaper? Will I need to sand my walls or use wallpaper liner in order to do this?
After installing a new wallpaper boarder, I noticed a few flaws on the wall itself. I decided to camouflage the flaws by adding some pretty accents from the remaining wallpaper border.
Do I need to prime the wall first if I am using the brown paper bag technique and do I put anything on top of the bags to seal the wall or coat them like a glaze or something?
A few years ago I watched a demonstration of using fabric like wallpaper on a painted wall. I can't remember what was used as the "paste." I do remember that when the fabric was removed, there was no mess--you could just wash off the wall and it was fine.

You can wall paper a small area with maps or even foreign language newspapers. When I was a kid I just LOVED a hallway of some friends of my parents which was papered in National Geographic maps!
Cut pictures out of wallpaper borders and apply to walls or garbage cans (wherever you want) to spice up your rooms. I sponged blue over white walls in my bathroom and cut fish out of a wallpaper border to create an underwater scene. Very cute and easy as the border is already pre-pasted.
