Heating an Addition on a House
My husband and I have recently built on a 14' x 24' addition. We are not finished with it yet and we have not broken through to our existing house. The addition is built on sonotubes and is on top of our entrance to our cellar and crawlspace.

Heating a Partially Finished Basement
I have an 11 year old, fairly well insulated 2 story home (1700 Sq ft). I am planning to install a pellet stove soon. I have a forced hot air system (heat and A/C). My basement is "semi-finished" meaning I'm in the process of insulating the cement walls.

Chemical Odor from New AC/Heat Pump Makes Me Ill
I have bug spray like smell coming out of a brand new AC heat pump system, through new ductwork. I never use any poisons in the house or attic. What is the culprit in my system? It causes my head to spin and my heart races as soon as heat, cool, or fan comes on.
Troubleshooting a Heating System Blowing Cool Air
I'm freezing. I have two AC/heating units; one operates the front part of my home and the other the back. The back has five vents of which two blow cool air. That makes me even colder. I don't know whether the vents have come a loose or maybe a squirrel has damaged it.
Arm Protectors For Carrying Wood
To save getting scratched, I keep the sleeve of an old sweatshirt beside the door, it is quick to slip over my arm as I step out to grab an armful of wood. We don't like to store more than a couple of extra logs inside because I am very allergic to bug bites.
