Some seven years back I managed to collect a lot of matching rolls of Fablon, all from different boot sales. I paid no more than 30p per roll. This enabled me to decorate my half-tiled small kitchen for less than the price of one roll of washable paper!
We had cupboards added on and a new countertop but the old backsplash had been tiled and we couldn't match them up. I put up the paintable wallpaper primed and painted it with silver metallic paint and then several coats of varathane.
I was reading all the great updates on laminate counters. Has anyone painted laminate walls? I wasn't sure if the varnish would run on a vertical surface.
Does anyone know how to get old wallpaper glue off of walls? Most of it came off with wallpaper stripper, but there are still little bits left here and there.
Any ideas on how to touch-up walls with the paint color that was originally used, but due to smoking the walls are not the original color of the paint.
The walls in my (very old) house have a "popcorn" type texture on them, as does the ceiling. It is covered with many old coats of paint. What can I do to remove the texture?
Does anyone have advice on removing tile from a plastered wall? We have a 1940's pink bathroom and would like to remove the tile from the walls, but I understand this will not be an easy project. Any tips for making it simpler or to at least help things go more smoothly?
