Thank you for this post. Every time I look for a baking mix recipe I only find the ones with shortening already mixed in. This is a godsend! (08/09/2004)

Homemade Bisquick

I am looking for a Bisquick pound cake recipe. The only ones that I have found online have cream cheese or some other kind of flovaring in them. I just want a plain pound cake made with Bisquick. I would really appreciate any help.
Thanks

I think I made a mistake in the post I just left. The bisquick recipe calls for 1/3 cup of baking powder not 1/2 cup. Sorry for the mistake. I am hormonal today. LOL. (01/20/2005)

1/4 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
3 cups sugar
4 cups Bisquick
1 tsp. vanilla (do use the vanilla)

Cream butter, sugar & eggs. Pour dry ingredients into mixture and mix well. Add milk & vanilla.

Try this recipe for a lower fat/cholesterol mix:
9 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. Canola Oil
1 Tbsp. salt
1/4 c. baking powder
2 c. non-fat dry milk powder

Combine all together and mix well. Store in sealed container in a cool place.(I store about half of it in my freezer for later) (01/25/2008)
