House Trained Dog Started Peeing Inside?

I have a male Border Collie age 4. For the past few weeks he has started weeing outside my daughter's bedroom door then runs downstairs. Yet other times he always goes out the back door when he needs to. Any ideas why it's always the same place and he won't just go out?

It would be good to clean that area very, very well and make sure it doesn't think that's a marked spot. This could also be an incontinence or UTI issue and you might want to have that checked.

He has marked his territory. Use Nature's Miracle to get the smell and stain out. Take him for walks regularly. Gate him or crate him until he learns to relieve himself properly.
