How to Soften Butter Quickly

Silver Post Medal for All Time! 449 Posts

Softening butter with a heated mason jar.Have you ever had trouble softening your butter? I cook and bake a lot and I use butter every time. I keep it in the fridge, but when I want to use it, I have to wait a bit longer for my butter to soften. I tried adding hot water but, of course, the water would just mix up with the butter. Good thing I was able to find another way by filling a glass with hot water. After a few seconds as the glass had contained the hotness, pour out the content and cover the piece of butter with it. Wait 2 to 3 minutes and the butter is soft.
