Identifying a Jerusalem Cherry Plant?

When I lived in Abilene Texas, I had plants in my yard and was told they were Jerusalem cherries. The flower was red and when it dried up it was like a little red ball. Inside that ball were lots of small seeds. Is there such a plant and if so where can I buy the plant or buy seeds?
