Both of my babies have passed away now. Cleo was 15 and Patra was 3. They were the most interactive cat and dog I have ever owned or seen. They played all kinds of games together. They would throw a cloth ball back and forth and chase it to see who could catch it first. They played Hide and Seek. They were best of friends. When Patra died unexpectedly, Cleo mourned her and wouldn't accept the new cat I got. I think she grieved herself to death from lonesomeness for Patra (and maybe old age) but she was never as happy as she was with 'her cat'.

Robbin, my deepest sympathy to you on the passing of both your "babies". I have gone through this so many times, and it always hurts. It's especially hurtful when a pet dies too young. Know that there are many other people who know exactly how you feel.
