How do I clean black ink off a dark brown leather couch in a hurry, using inexpensive household cleaning products?

Have you tried spraying it with hairspray? That is how I get ink out of clothes. I think it's the alcohol that does it, but I always have hairspray on hand. Just spray it and blot with a paper towel and repeat. Then when the ink is gone, wipe with clean water to remove hairspray residue. (02/22/2010)
