I am having a problem with the feed dogs being locked up. I don't know how to unlock them. At first I was getting the LO message on the screen. I thought maybe the bobbin case had a lot of lint, but it was clean. The needle will not go up and down.

Have you tried a shock reboot? Your user manual will give you the steps IF your computerised model is able to withstand it. If it is, the shock reboot should reset your machine to the factory default settings - including your feed dog settings.
If your machine manual specifically advises against shock reboots, you are going to need to take the machine to a factory trained repair tech familiar with Janome computerised sewing machines.
