Right in the middle of sewing the presser foot came loose, and seemed to get stuck under the needle bar! I got it out, but needle bar seems to have dropped? as the hole on the bar to screw the foot on is too low. The feet don't fit now!

You really need to take your machine to a reputable repair tech. It sounds like the needle bar needs adjustment or something may need replaced in the machinery. Problems of this sort are not something that most of us are able to figure out or fix on our own.
