Janome Sewing Machine Shocks When Switched On?

When I switch on the machine it shocks me; what should I do?

Do not try to use this machine! Take it (and the foot pedal, etc) to a qualified Janome repair tech - don't try connecting the machine to the power source! There is a dangerous short somewhere in the machine, usually at the connector point (where the foot pedal line plug connects with the machine socket) and/or where the machine plug connects with the wall power socket.

You can get a terrible and potentially life threatening shock if you continue to try connecting the machine to the wall power source. This is NOT a home fix, it must be addressed by a factory trained Janome tech.

No idea what it will cost as you don't list where you are located; in the US you'd pay around $60USD as this requires specialised knowledge and tools.
