I make this drink a lot, it is a calming comfort drink. You heat a mug of water (1 minute 45 seconds on high power), then mix in half a box of any 3 ounce gelatin dessert mix. If you take a sip of the hot drink, you will see how nice it is. This is a popular treat at our house, especially when people feel they need something nice to drink on a nice cool evening.
You can also add Twizzler strawberry candy and dip them in the drink and then in the other half of the box of powder gelatin that is left. The Twizzler candy takes a rather distinct shape when taken out of the hot drink and put into the Jello powder. Besides the distinct shape, it leaves little round balls of powder. This happens after the Twizzler is stirred around in the powder after having been in the hot drink. You can then eat the Twizzler candy with yummy powder on the end of it.
I did read that gelatin has properties that boost the immune system, but I just like it for the fact that it is a wonderful drink.
