It seems safe to assume the recipe uses the standard 4-serving size box of pudding. I'm wondering if it means instant pudding, or the kind you cook!

The kind you cook

So many OTHER recipes online do not say what size pudding to get. Which is so important, can't be left out. I'm happy this one did.

BUT, I only found the 3.4 oz one, so maybe Jello reduced the amount later. I will improvise I guess.

As I remember its the cooking type of pudding.

Posted a question early, does anyone have suggestion about size and cooked pudding or instant? was going to make soon put don't won't to waste ingredients if wrong amounts.

Editor's Note: We have corrected the ingredients to show one 4 oz. package of cooked pudding.

It takes a small box of cooked pudding and you can cut it in big or small pieces. Keep it in the fridge

Tks for information about small box,put is it instant or cooking kind??????

ONLY use the cook kind. Also, when I bought, the jello pkg was 3.4 oz. Maybe Jello wanted to make more money !!

I don't understand why this question about instant pudding can't be answered??? Or is this a fake recipe.

Food.com has the exact same recipe and it calls for "NOT instant" pudding. Also can use any flavor pudding you like. Can't wait to try it. Sounds yummy and easy!

A big thanks to TO R L STeierwalt for the information.I will look it up on food.com.not sure why this was so frustrating to get answers for.

It would seem that since it is "brought to a boil" it would be the cooked pudding. Can't wait to try pistachio...oh, wait that's an uncooked one.

So I'll go with cookies and cream pudding! Can't wait.

Hi everyone, so sorry you had problems with my recipe. I kept being called away from my desk. My husbands daddy had died and
I did have mush for brains that day. Hope your fudge turns out to your liking. It is real good. Please Enjoy.

Havent tasted yet, but even in an 8 by 8 baking dish you are looking at half inch thick squares.

Well I guess making a comment now ( as the comment goes...better late than never, it is now 2018).
I am so happy to find this recipe I made this once when my daughter was one and I am now a grandma and a great grandma, I loved this recipe but then lost it so I will be very happy to make this again.

Also I like to add orange zest and also dry chopped maraschino cherries in it.( But then I add them to anything I can get my hands on).
Thank You, sorry it took all these years to write this
