Keeping Cereal Fresh

Bronze Feedback Medal for All Time! 129 Feedbacks

To save money on cereals, I purchase the huge bags of generic cereals when they are on sale CHEAP. To keep them fresh, I use my good old Foodsaver and extra canning jars. I vacuum seal the cereal in the jars. They will stay fresh for ages.

Doing it this way, I can buy several varieties of cereal and the kids never tire of them. When one jar is empty, they can open a different one if they choose! It keeps them from ever getting bored. :-)

Another way to keep extra cereal fresh is to store it in the frig or freezer.
