To prevent drips on ceiling light fixtures, cover them with a plastic bag. Turn off the lights first so you don't melt the bags! Secure the bag where the fixture meets the ceiling with masking tape.
Be sure to put a piece of masking tape, over the light switch! Someone might accidently turn the switch on...creating a mess for you?!...
