We are remodeling our kitchen and plan to install medium to slightly dark (cherry) Shaker cabinets and a medium wood floor and have white appliances. I am trying to figure out what color to paint walls and the trim or crown molding in the room. The windows and door are trimmed in white so not sure if crown molding should be stained to match cabinets or painted white?

I have older dark cabinets and white appliances and have painted my walls green. I think it looks really nice. My baseboards are oak to match the wood floors in the rest of the house. Here's a picture so you can see how it looks (I tried 3 shades of green before I found the right one - I suggest getting a couple small sample cans so you can do some test sections before committing.
