This headband is so wide that it seems it would be easy enough to convert into a hat by just knitting a circle for the top and attaching it. I love this, thanks for sharing.

I have to tell you, your Sections 2 and 3 make no sense at all. Section 2.1 says to increase to 20 stitches. OK. Section 2.2. says "P1 [k1, p2] 4 times k2 p1". [k1,p2] 4 times=12 stitches. 1+12+2+1=16 stitches. What do I do with the other 4 stitches on my needle? Even if I do [k1,p2] 5 times, I'll only get 19 stitches, with one left over. Section 2.3 and 2.4 are just as confusing.

Section 3 says increase to 24 stitches. Then it says P1 [k2, p2] 4 times k2 p1. 2+2=4. 4x4=16. 1+16+2+1=20. What should I do with those 4 remaining stitches?

I made the headband anyway, and I like most of the pattern, but the beginning of it doesn't look so hot. (08/11/2008)
