This site has crochet patterns for just about everything. There are a lot of old patterns, so if you are looking for a certain one it just might be there. Some of the links don't work but most do, some of the patterns don't have pictures but most do.
I had so much trouble locating directions on the internet for making a "solo" cup light ball that I just created my own free website that gives easy to follow step-by-step instructions. I call them sparkleballs.
While surfing the net I ran into a charming French craft site called esprit cabane. It's French - but the pix are so good I think you can get inspired by it.
Pallet wood is naturally weathered and looks like old barn siding. Use it to make simple, rustic birdhouses and bird feeders which can be sold at flea markets or even better wholesale them to garden centers around town.
