Here is a combination you might want to consider. By accessories, I mean vases, figurines, lamp shades, etc. If the fireplace has a mantle, it too, should be white.
You might also go with a brownish/grey walls. All shades of grey are very trendy now. White trim is often used with the grey. You might do the one wall in a darker shade.
