I have rain water coming in from outside into my 2nd floor ceiling of my house. I lost only light power in my kitchen and a room downstairs. But tThe breaker did not trip. What can my problem be? Please advise urgently. Thank you.

If you are certain that no breaker has tripped and yet you have lost power, the circuit must have opened somewhere. Most likely at a fixture.

You will need an electrician to assist in finding where this circuit opened. If no work was being done in the boxes. The only energy that could have opened the circuit would have been electrical. It is possible the water caused a short which burned open the circuit without tripping the breaker.

The water leak, if it contributed to the outage, must also be repaired.

Good luck.
