I am making a dollhouse for my granddaughter. I am making the furniture out of wood and cardboard boxes, but I am stuck on the sofa and bathroom. Would anyone have any instructions or pictures they could help me with this project?
This is lots of fun for kids to make and play with! My kids used to love it! Combine ingredients. Knead well. Add desired food coloring. Store in tight container.
Does any one have a frugal alternative to the "suede" paint finishes? It seems to me there must be some kind of fine sand and a gel of sorts to keep the sand suspended in the latex paint. I hate being held hostage by the 'designer' prices for paint and for textured finishes!
I read the recipe for making my own polymer clay and I'm excited to try it. However, when I mix the cornstarch and glue, will I be free to work and condition it? Does it need to be baked? And will it stay soft like the Sculpey clay (for later use) or will it dry out?
Did anyone ever get the recipe for the gel looking, cookie cutter shaped air fresheners being sold at craft fairs for 4.95 each with rope tied through top for hanging? I would like to make my own instead of buying and looking for them elsewhere. Hard to find.
Instructions on how to make a rag rug out of strips of materials as suggested by the ThriftyFun community. My mother taught me how to make rag rugs when I was a child. You take scraps of material that you want to use and make three separate, very long strips.
