| Making a Collapsible PVC Pipe Garment Hanger
In a magazine I saw a picture of a garment hanger made of PVC pipe. Being disabled, I must sit to do my ironing, so this would be ideal to have next to the ironing board to hang the ironed clothes on rather than having to get up and down to hang them in the closet one at a time.

| Homemade Fabric Freshener

A nice and inexpensive olfactory treat is to 'scent freshen' clothing. All you have to do is make a spray bottle mixture of two cups water with 6 or more drops of your favorite essential oil.

Has anyone had trouble with homemade laundry detergent? I made a batch using the recipe: 1 bar of shredded soap, 1 cup washing soda, and 1 cup borax. It called for using a tablespoon in the wash.

| Making a Clothesline from a Patio Umbrella
Has anyone ever make a clothesline from a faded patio umbrella? I think you could simply remove the cover, then drill holes in the spokes, and lace the line though the holes. Does anyone want to try it and let us know? It seems like a great use for re-purposing an old faded umbrella, right?

| Making Septic Safe Laundry Detergent
Hi, I am planning to make laundry detergent at home using soap, borax and washing soda. I read somewhere that using soap flakes is not good for the septic pipes. Is that true? is there any other way that I can make the detergent at home which I can safely use for newborns clothes too?
