There is a code on my washer "LF" and it will not go through the wash cycle.

I could mean that the washer is not getting enough water because the water hose has a blockage. Try replacing both of the water hoses. If you have the rubber hoses they should be replaced every 5 years as they tend to dry out and could burst.
