Ingredients:

  • 1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables, cooked
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 1 can kidney beans, rinsed and drained well
Dressing:
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard

Directions:

Mix together first 4 ingredients and add dressing. For dressing, cook until thick and mix with salad. Chill thoroughly. This will keep for several days.

Ingredients

  • 1 small head cauliflower, cut up
  • 3 stalks broccoli, chopped
  • 1/2 cup red onion, diced
  • 1 cup celery, cut up
  • 1 cup grated carrots
  • 1 package Cheddar cheese (8oz)
  • 1 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled
  • 2 cups Miracle Whip salad dressing
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • Parmesan cheese, opt.

Directions

Mix together all cut vegetables, cheese and bacon. Mix salad dressing, sugar and vinegar. Pour over vegetables and toss. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans corn (drained)
  • 2 cans bean sprouts (drain and rinse)
  • 2 cups celery (diced)
  • 1 green pepper (chopped)
  • 2 oz. pimento (drained)

  • 3 carrots (grated)
  • 1 med. head cauliflower
Marinade:

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 6 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • Dash of pepper

Directions:

Marinate vegetables. Stir in refrigerator - keeps as long as lasts.

This is a great veggie combo, too, with a great dressing!

Ingredients:

  • 1 large head lettuce
  • 2 cups celery, chopped
  • 1 large green pepper, chopped
  • 1 large sweet onion, chopped
  • 1 large package frozen peas, blanch for 2 minutes
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar

Directions:

  1. Use large glass salad bowl. Tear lettuce into bite size pieces, add other ingredients in layers.
  2. Frost with mayonnaise, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and sprinkle with sugar.
  3. Cover with foil, refrigerate overnight.
  4. Garnish with parsley and radish pieces.

Love this tangy salad! The mixed veggies are great. I try to get a brand that has no Lima beans, personally, as I do not like them.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (20-24 oz.) pkg. mixed vegetables
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard
  • 1 can red kidney beans, rinsed
  • 4 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

Cook vegetables and drain. Do not overcook; leave them a little crispy. Combine sugar, flour, vinegar, oil and mustard; cook until thick. Cool a bit, and add vegetables. When cold, add rinsed kidney beans, celery, onion, salt, and pepper.
