Mother's Day (Australia) Tea Ideas

In Australia we have Mother's Day coming up. I'm involved with a group of mums that meet up each week to talk 'baby' stuff and have a cuppa. The next time I'm hosting a morning tea. It will be just before Mother's Day and I'm asking if you ladies have any ideas of what we could do to celebrate, keeping in mind that we all have babies around the age of 1.

Ten Lovely Ways To Let Mum Know You Love Her On Mother's Day

For a gift that will last, what about planting some rose bushes in the garden for her, or delivering them ready planted in containers. Even if Mum has only a tiny balcony or yard you can get patio roses meant for growing in tubs. If you add to the collection each Mother's Day and birthday she will soon have a whole rose garden of love.

Fun, Frugal Mother's Day Ideas For Mom and Teens

I have two teenage stepdaughters and a four month old son. I want to do something for my wife for mother's day. She has said she doesn't want to "get away" but would rather spend the day doing something with her children. Knowing how easily and quickly teens get bored - does anyone have any frugal ideas of how we could spend the day together and make it fun for all?

Taking Time For Mom

I read an article in Ann Landers from a girl who said she was always too busy to take time out for a visit for her Mom. It says; "One of these days will never come because Mom has passed away. For the very first time in her wonderful, unselfish life, she was the one who didn't have time for me...

Mother's Day Banquet Idea

A few years ago I helped get together a Mother's Day banquet themed: A POTPOURRI OF MEMORIES. As a party favor we did multicolored bags filled with potpourri, and put together a small book of poems and readings about mothers in all stages of life, the poems were:

Everyday is Mother's Day

When scrolling through THRIFTY FUNS section for various tips I noticed that there was a item for MOTHERS DAY. I realize that holiday is a long ways away but it hit a soft spot in my heart. My mom is in a nursing home & had a stroke over 5 years ago. She is paralyzed on one side can't walk, talk, feed herself, bath herself, nothing. But the worst part is that she doesn't even know me or the rest of family & friends that love her so dearly. And so my dear friends please take my advice & be kind & loving every day to your mom, not just MOTHERS DAY. In my opinion, MOTHERS DAY should be every day. -joesgirl
