Pay the Cell Phone Bill for a Gift
For Mother's Day, I suggested that my grown kids not send me the usual flowers and such. I asked them to go pay one month of my cell phone coverage ($35.00) so that I can continue to talk daily.

Mother's Day Garden
For Mother's Day 7 years ago, my husband and sons picked several rose bushes to plant for me in my "Mother's Day" Garden. It has bloomed beautifully since then and it was great to have all 4 sons and my husband work together on a project for me.

Memory Jar For Mother's Day
When last Mother's Day rolled around, I thought my mother would enjoy reading my own remembrances. I took a decorative glass jar with a lid and made a "Jar of Childhood Memories" for her to read.

Craft: Aiden's Mother's Day Doorhanger
This started out as a door hanger he could make for his mom. Grandma's Idea: The door hanger would look cute with all these little hand and foot prints all over it. Aiden's Idea: All it really needs is two hands and two feet (after all, isn't that what we have?)

Mother's Day Cookbook
My little grandsons (Jonny, nearly 4, and Joey, 20 months) are elbow deep in a project for Mother's Day for their mommy, other grandma, and day care provider. We are making a cookbook of their favorite meals and snacks. I am taking tons of pictures of them "fixing" the food. It helps that they are total hams!
