Murphy's Oil Soap Discolored 50s Laminate Table Top?

I was cleaning some dresser draws with Murphy's oil soap on top of a 50s style laminate table that had a white marble design. I was doing this in the sun, too. Eventually I noticed that the tabletop had turned all grey in some areas. I thought it just needed to dry, but by sitting out in the the sun areas that hadn't been effected had turned dark also. Is there any hope for returning this tabletop back to original white marble design or not? Please help and yes I'm kicking myself for using a neat table for a bandstand!
