Buy Matching Men's Socks
I often buy several pairs of the same color of socks so that if one sock of the pair wears out, there will still be several mates.

My husband bought new shoes and they are too tight. Is there anyway to stretch the width?

Dry Cleaner Clothing Sales
Lots of dry cleaners will have a sale a couple times a year to sell off clothing that has never been picked up. It can be a good place to find some nice things and many times they are only sold for what it cost to clean the item.

Scotchguard For Clothes
I worked with a young teacher who wore Kahki pants a lot and they always seemed so spot free and clean. One day I got the courage to ask her secret. She said that when she bought new clothes she sprayed them with scotchguard before wearing or washing them . She would occasionally refresh the scotchguard after washing. Just passing along someone elses cleaning tip.

When I have comfortable clothing that is showing some wear, and too shabby looking for public appearances (pilling, fading, etc.) I give those items a new use as pajamas and/or loungewear.

Get Athletic Shoes Super White
Clean white athletic shoes with Westley's Bleche-Wite whitewall/blackwall tire cleaner. Use a scrub brush and rinse with water. I have used this cleaner on genuine leather and manmade materials, including dark colored mesh on running shoes, without harming the material.

Swapping Clothes With Friends and Family
When our children were small, one of the biggest money saving things we did was swap clothing with friends and family. Children grow so fast and their clothing is so expensive. It has always benefited us to do this. Not only does it help our finances, but it helps others as well. By Robin

Small Soaps
Small bars of scented soap make great sachets! Just slide a bar or two of wrapped, scented soap into your drawers or closets.

Masking Tape for Lint
A roll of masking tape doubles; triples; quadruples as savings for you at home. Just like the much more expensive commercial lint roller used for clothing, a roll of ($1.25) masking tape wound around your hand will remove lint as easily as its counterpart.
