Phone Tied up While Online?
We recently purchased a new computer. While this has been like a new toy to us, it has tied up our phone line and we've missed all kinds of calls. My sister (who had tried to call for the majority of 2 days told me to check with a company called CALL WAVE.

Choosing a Numeric Password
When you need a numeric password, use a phone number of a family member (Aunt, mom, etc.) to remember the password, post a note on or near your computer with the name of the person whose number you used. Only YOU will know the reference, and you will never have to hunt for your password. By Doggy

When Buying a Printer, Factor In The Cost Of Ink
Before you purchase a new printer; research and see if you can buy the ink to refill the cartridges. There are many online ink suppliers that furnish the "manufacturer's-type ink". You need to have several printers that you are considering in mind, then you can call an ink and cartridge supplier on a toll free phone line and can discuss if you could refill the cartridges. See how much they charge for the ink, etc.

Upgrading Your Operating System
If you are going from Windows 98 to XP, before you buy your new computer with a new Windows Program, get a library book and start reading up on the new Windows. That way you won't be overwhelmed when the new XP Windows doesn't work the same as your old 98 Windows. A lot of times you can renew the book until someone else makes a request for it. By Syd
