| Dishwashing - Water Saving Tip

Instead of rinsing dishes under running water when dishwashing, fill a basin with rinse water and a small splash of vinegar (the vinegar neutralizes the dish detergent and leaves the glasses sparkling). You can reduce your water usage twice with this tip if you save the used rinse water to flush the toilet!

| Recycling Water from Basement Dehumidifier

I live in a high humidity area during summer, so my basement dehumidifier is always filling up. Rather than just dumping the tank when it's full, I pour it into my clothes washing machine when I start a load of clothes. It's a great way to recycle the water, and I save money on my water bill.
