A Mother's Day Surprise For a New Grandma
A great way to tell a Mom that she is a Grandma-to-be is to show up at her house on mother's day. For example, if you found out you're pregnant before Mother's Day, show up with a cake saying the name of all the mother's in the house... and then yours.

Exerpts from GRANDMA KNOWS BEST

Taking Time For Mom
I read an article in Ann Landers from a girl who said she was always too busy to take time out for a visit for her Mom. It says; "One of these days will never come because Mom has passed away. For the very first time in her wonderful, unselfish life, she was the one who didn't have time for me...

Question About Living Wills
I was thinking about the fate of the Florida woman. How does a person make his wishes legal expept through a Lawyer? I have expressed to each of my children that I never wanted my life prolonged through life support for a long period of time. When God is ready-so am I. They all know this--yet is that legal enough without documentation?

Giving the Kids All the Family Names and Numbers
I was getting vexed at the number of times my adult children, now living in their own homes, would call me for family information such as telephone numbers, cell numbers, work numbers, fax numbers, birthdates, wedding anniversaries and even correct spellings of our grandchildren's names.

Emailing Photographs
We live a long way from family and we like to send snapshots we take to them so they can see our children and what we have been up to, but pictures are expensive to send through the mail.

Keeping in Touch with the Relatives With Video and Audio Recordings
We live a long distance from most of our relatives and one thing they appreciated most from us was the times when we would either video record the children or else record their voices on a tape and send it to them.
