| Remembering Your Cell Phone
When I leave my cell phone at night to charge, and in order to not forget it the next morning, I put the cell phone inside my purse with the cord visibly sticking out. When I am ready to leave the house in the morning, I am "forced" to remember my cell phone.

| Clock By The Phone
Do you have an extra clock in your home? Place it near the phone. Just watching the minutes tick away will remind you to keep those long distance conversations short! An extra kitchen timer will do the same trick, and you can even set it to go off in five minutes.

| Saving on Your Long Distance Bill
To save on my phone bill I had the phone company eliminate my long distance capability from my phone. I then purchased a MCI phone card from Costco $19.95 for 600 minutes. This card allowed me to call at any time for the same price. The time that it took me to dial in my extra numbers took less than a minute.

| Circle Numbers in the Phone Book
When for the 1st time you look up the phone number of a person and/or a business take a pen and circle the name of the person and/or business. Then the next time you have to look the number up again it will stick out like a sore thumb. Of course if this is a person and/or business that you will be calling frequently then enter it into your address book. Sure saves a lot of time.

| Using Old Eyeglass Cases to Hold Your Cell Phone
If you have an old eyeglass case (the type that men use with a clip on one side with the top of it open for the eyeglasses to slip in) you can use it to slip on your belt and hold your cell phone in when you are out shopping or walking. This is a lot cheaper than buying a new cell phone carrier! Plus you can decorate yours to suit your personality! Use paint, ribbons buttons, pins etc.

| Programming Your Mobile or Cell Phone
Always program your home phone number into your mobile phone. Name it "Home" or "If found, call." This way if you lose your cell phone, the person who finds it has a way to contact you.

| Tips On Choosing and Using Discount Long Distance
By David Wood
There is no doubt that you will save money on long distance by using a
discount phone rate. When I first started using a dial around number 4 years
ago, I saved a lot of money compared to what I was paying with my primary long
distance carrier. When you use a dial around number you are in fact dialing
around your long distance carrier, and can even use a dial around plan if you
have no primary carrier.

| Cheap Phone Cards ... Saving on long distance calls
The minutes 'do not' expire, and there will be a surcharge for calls made from pay phones, however, I think this is standard on all phone cards. This makes a nice gift item to include in greeting cards to friends and relatives. If you have someone in the hospital that may want to make a long distance call, they are stuck because you can't charge the call to your room.
